It is also our most cost-effective linear bearing material.
Other key characteristics of the aqua-colored Rulon 142 are virtual elimination of stick/slip, uniform friction, high thermal dissipation, and good stability. And like all variations of Rulon, Rulon 142 delivers long wear, self-lubrication, and design diversity.
A material for extremely heavy loads. Rulon ® 142 is ideal for linear bearing applications such as slideways in machine tools guideways and heavy equipment, piston/rod wear rings in cylinder and may also be used in expansion joints and bridge pads.
This material provides low friction, excellent unlubricated wear properties and good heat dissipation and is etched one side for adhesive bonding to the steel substrate.
Rulon ® 142 is not recommended in chemical environments or against soft mating materials.
