Alumina Ceramics:

Alumina ceramics requires more demanding ABS products. In order to eliminate or reduce internal stress, the products must be placed in a hot air circulating drying box at a temperature of 70-80°C for 2 to 4 hours, and then slowly cooled to room temperature. Like other plastics, the internal stress caused by various factors in ABS products (the size can be judged according to whether the parts are immersed in glacial acetic acid solution and the length of the cracking time). However, under normal circumstances, stress cracking problems rarely occur. For this reason, ABS products can usually be put into use without post-treatment. ABS resin combines the excellent properties of the three monomers, namely: the gloss, electrical properties, and moldability of styrene; the heat resistance, rigidity, and oil resistance of acrylonitrile; and the impact resistance of butadiene. The appearance of ABS is opaque and ivory-colored pellets. It is non-toxic, tasteless, and has low water absorption. Its products can be colored in various colors and have a high gloss of 90%. ABS has a good combination with other materials and is easy to be processed by surface printing, coating and plating. The oxygen index of ABS is 18.2. It is a flammable polymer. The flame is yellow with black smoke, burnt but does not drip, and emits a special cinnamon smell. ABS is a kind of resin with very good comprehensive performance. It has higher impact strength and surface hardness in a relatively wide temperature range, higher heat distortion temperature than PA and PVC, and good dimensional stability. The fluidity of alumina ceramics is better than PVC and PC, but worse than PE, PA and PS, similar to POM and HIPS. The flow characteristics of ABS are non-Newtonian fluids, and its melt viscosity is related to processing temperature and shear rate, but it is more sensitive to shear rate.
