Aco Mold has been using injection mold machines in my
mold factory in China for 5 years. they have been running 24 hours for approx 280 days a year. running 60T, 120T, 180T 250T and 300T. We have not had to change screw sets any more frequent than I would have had to with previous machines I have operated (Arburg, Demag, Boy) from 11 injection molding machines we have had to replace injection cylinder seals due to wear after 4 years on the 120T presses. at 4 years old 1 injection molding machine needed a new main pump and another needed motor rebuild. I have replaced 4 valves as preventative maintenance. and that is it.we are producing a mix of consumer and high preposition electronic parts.I agree the resale value is nothing, but then for the buy price in china I write of the vale on the plant equipment over 5 years so its not an issue. whilst i would love to buy EU machines then the price difference doe snot warrant it.Hatian 300T machine in China $50,000 USD. typical German machine same tonnage $150,000 USD. its a no brainier.
Injection Mold manufacturer needs to be concerned about cycle time if they want to help their customers maintain a competitive edge, improve efficiencies, productivity and profits in order to compete on a global basis. Follow
