Copper XLPE Cable As Per IEC 60502

Low Voltage Power Cable use stranded copper or aluminum conductors, although small LV Power Cables may use solid conductors in sizes of up to 630mm2. The Electric Power Cable may include uninsulated conductors used for the circuit neutral or for ground (earth) connection. The grounding conductor connects the equipment's enclosure/chassis to ground for protection from electric shock. 

These uninsulated versions are known are bare conductors or tinned bare conductors. The overall assembly may be round or flat. Non-conducting filler strands may be added to the assembly to maintain its shape. Filler materials can be made in non-hydroscopic versions if required for the application.
