How can you tell the difference between a USB 2.0 and 3.0 flash drive?

There are a few ways to differentiate between a USB 2.0 and 3.0 flash drive:
1.  Physical appearance: USB 3.0 flash drives often have a blue-colored USB connector or a blue-colored plastic insert inside the connector.  This is not always the case, but it is a common indicator.
2.  USB symbol: Look for the USB symbol on the flash drive.  USB 3.0 flash drives may have an additional "SS" (SuperSpeed) logo next to the USB symbol, indicating its compatibility with USB 3.0.
3. Software utilities: Some flash drive manufacturers provide software utilities that can identify the USB version of their drives.  Check the manufacturer's website or the documentation that came with the flash drive to see if such a utility is available. 
4.  Transfer speed: USB 3.0 flash drives have significantly faster data transfer speeds compared to USB 2.0 drives.  If you have access to a computer with USB 3.0 ports, you can test the transfer speed by copying files to and from the flash drive.  If it transfers at a much higher speed than expected for a USB 2.0 drive, it is likely a USB 3.0 drive.
That USB 3.0 flash drives are usually backward compatible, meaning they can be used with USB 2.0 ports and devices, but they will operate at USB 2.0 speeds in such cases.
