What is electronics manufacturing?

Electronic Manufacturing, also known as EMS, is an emerging industry. It refers to the manufacturers that provide a series of services such as PCB Manufacturing, procurement, PCBA,from partial design and logistics to SMT/SMD assembly  for the brand owners of Electronic products.

Compared with traditional OEM or ODM services, which only provide product design and OEM production, EMS manufacturers provide knowledge and management services, such as material management, logistics transportation, and even product maintenance services.

In fact, the production process involves many processes and links, EMS is a full line of services, including product development, product production, which of course includes product procurement, product quality management and transportation logistics, generally EMS includes the above. However, at the beginning, we were not able to start the whole process, so at the beginning, we mainly helped customers to deal with the processing part, so we only managed the production part, which is the so-called OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture). In the later stage, I was able to help some customers develop and Design products, which is the so-called ODM (Original Design Manufacture). In other words, ODM has more new elements than OEM. In addition to doing what ODM and OEM do, the current EMS is more about logistics, and some even help customers sell, which is the general EMS.
