Why is aluminum used in circuit boards?
Aluminum base board consists of three layers: copper foil, insulating layer and metal aluminum. Since there is an insulating layer, can the metal layer be made of other materials besides aluminum? Such as copper plate, stainless steel, iron plate, silicon steel plate, etc. What kind of material the metal base printed board uses, in addition to the heat dissipation performance, also considers the thermal expansion coefficient, thermal conductivity, strength, hardness, weight, surface condition and cost of the metal base printed board.

Commonly used in lighting products such as Aluminum 2.0W LED board, there are two sides, the white side is for soldering the LED pins, and the other side is the color of aluminum. Generally, the thermal conductive paste will be applied to contact with the thermal conductive part. Mainly used in lamps such as Aluminum 3.0W LED board and industrial control PCB, etc. The main advantage is that the Aluminum LED board conducts heat quickly and has good heat dissipation performance.
