What is a rigid-flex PCB?

Design a robot with a rigid PCB board without considering the protection of the PCB from vibration failure caused by mechanical resonance. These faults can cause serious problems such as cracked insulators and capacitors, electronic components disconnection, discontinuous PCB traces, cracks in solder joints, PCB delamination, electrical short circuits, and disconnection from the plating barrel to the pad. In order to eliminate these faults, a Rigid-Flex Board printed circuit board is required.
A printed circuit board in which a rigid circuit substrate and a flexible circuit substrate are laminated together to solder components on a rigid part and use a bent part instead of a wired connection. The rigid part can be like a traditional rigid PCB, in which the Electronic Components can be soldered on both sides of the circuit board, and multilayer connections can be made, while the flexible part can be connected in multiple layers, but the Electronic Components can be soldered on it, because The flexible part is used to connect only between the rigid circuit parts.
Eliminating the connector from the design introduces the following properties in the circuit:
Signal transmission from one part to another without loss and jitter (noise)
Eliminate connection problems such as cold contacts
Free up space and reduce weight
The circuit is vibration-proof and can be installed in applications with moving parts.
