How does a track light work?

Track lights are composed of tracks and lights. The track is equivalent to the wire, which conducts electricity to the lamp. Sounds dangerous, right? In fact, it is precisely the copper core inside the track that conducts electricity. Then there is an insulating layer between the copper core and the track. So the track is actually not conductive, it is the copper core that really works.

On the LED lighting, there will be contact between the copper sheet and the copper core of the track, thereby forming a circuit. So the light can work.

The shape of its copper core is flat, while the general track is round.
So what is the difference between them? The light effect will be greatly reduced. And if it is overheated, sparks may occur.
