What's the difference between COB and LED light source?

COBs and LEDs are both used for indoor or outdoor lighting, but there are some differences between them. 

1. Different Light source: COB (Chip on board) is the integration of multiple LED chips to form a lighting source, while LED (Light emitting diode) is a single light-emitting diode. The number of COBs is usually between 9 and 24, while the number of chips for LED lights is between hundreds and thousands. 

2. The display effect is different: the COB lamp is more consistent in the color temperature of the light source, the brightness is balanced, and the lighting effect is relatively continuous in the range of the cast light. However, the color temperature and brightness of LEDs may vary slightly due to differences between chips, but there are now many brands that solve this problem. 

3. Different heat dissipation methods: the heat dissipation of the COB lamp uses a metal substrate to reduce the heat dissipation volume, and more importantly, a COB chip can solve the heat dissipation problem; The heat dissipation of LED lights requires additional fan heat dissipation, aluminum plate heat dissipation, and other methods, and the heat uniformity is worse than that of COB chips. 

4. Visual experience is different: the light of COB has a soft feeling, and the light presented is richer, more three-dimensional, and more colorful than the LED lamp.
