Product description
The diaphragm of the hydrogen pressure
sensor, forming the H molecule, remains in the pressure transmitter, and the H gradually
dissolves in the liquid silicone in the pressure transmitter. After a period of
time, the hydrogen in the silicone is saturated and bubbles are formed. The
bubble will cause the zero point movement, affect the measurement results, and
lead to the transmitter performance degradation. When hydrogen is increased,
the diaphragm will also expand outwards, causing cracks, silicone outflow, and
the failure of the pressure transmitter. If pure hydrogen is present in some
applications, penetration problems are bound to occur. However, if it does not
appear like pure hydrogen, osmosis will occur. That's because hydrogen atoms
are constantly breaking away from molecules to become ions. The membrane of the
hydrogen pressure sensor affects permeability because the lattice gaps vary
with the material molecules. Traditionally, the diaphragm is made of stainless
steel, avoiding the use of nickel-based metals such as Herc. Tantalum, of
course, is an expensive plate made of gold-plated stainless steel, but it is protective
because the penetration can be eliminated by plating 3m thick gold.
