What's the filter plate?

A filter press is a device used for solid-liquid separation. It consists of a series of plates, typically made of metal or plastic, that are pressed together under high pressure. Between each plate is a filter cloth or mesh, which allows liquid to pass through while retaining solid particles. The solid particles form a cake on the filter cloth, which can then be removed by opening the press and scraping off the cake. Filter presses are commonly used in industries such as mining, chemical processing, and wastewater treatment.
