Rulon® Fluoropolymer Bearings & Machined parts
RULON® composites are ideal for non-lubricated, high-load bearing applications in a variety of climates and operating environments, exhibit a high load capacity similar to bronze, powdered metal and steel, and provide longer wear and extended operating life without the costs associated with lubrication. RULON® materials also do not rust like metal components, so you can use them in applications where traditional metals corrode and fail. You will find Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics bearing materials being used in aerospace, agricultural machinery, automotive, construction, industrial, marine, railway, and material handling equipment. The most popular grades are Rulon® LR, Rulon® J and Rulon® 641.
Description
Rulon®LR Bearings is maroon in colour and is ideally suited to rotary and linear bearing applications.
This material has good physical characteristics, highly resistant to wear and creep, good dielectric properties whilst still maintaining a good chemical resistance.
Rulon®LR Bearings is compatible with most hardened steel surfaces and eliminates the need for lubrication in most environments.

Rulon® J Bearings
Description
Rulon®J Bearings is gold in colour and has been specifically formulated with no hard or abrasive fillers to operate against soft mating surfaces such as aluminium, brass, mild steel, stainless steel and other plastics.
Rulon®J Bearings has a low coefficient of friction, good creep resistance and compressive strength along with very low wear rates in comparison to unfilled PTFE.
