Product Description
Product Description

TECASON P MT black is a polyphenylsulfone suited primarily to applications in the medical industry. PPSU medical grade material has improved performance in terms of temperature, impact strength and chemical resistance, and shows exceptional resistance to repeated steam autoclaving without loss of dimensional stability, or physical properties. Medical grade PPSU is available in several colored grades, as well as with an X-ray opaque XRO additive which allows for clear component visibility on fluoroscopy and X-ray. Both product lines are tested according to ISO 10993. USP Class VI information is available on the raw material.

Radel ® R PPSU Polyphenylsulfone an amorphous high performance thermoplastic offering better impact and chemical resistance than polysulfone(Udel®) or polyetherimide (ULTEMl®)

Radel® polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) delivers the highest performance of  the sulfone polymers.

Radel® PPSU offers impact strength similar to polycarbonate (PC) and better chemical resistance than polyetherimide (ULTEM™ PEI). It excels in high heat and humidity environments and provides operating temperatures around 200°C (392°F) and inherent flame retardant properties.  Radel® R is available sheet, rod, tube, film, custom profile and molded and machined parts, in amber (translucent), natural (bone white), and custom colors.

MAIN FEATURES

  • resistant to autoclaving
  • biocompatible
  • compliant with cytoxicity according to ISO 10993-5
  • meets requirements for USP Class VI
  • excellent impact strength

Radel ® R offers superior hydrolysis resistance when compared to other amorphous thermoplastics as measured by steam autoclaving cycles to failure. Radel® R has virtually unlimited steam sterilizability. This makes it an excellent choice for medical devices. It also resists common acids and bases -- including commercial washing solutions -- over a broad temperature range.

  • Excellent Impact & Steam Resistance up to 400°F (205°C)
  • High Heat Deflection Temperature 405°F (207°C)
  • Improved Chemical Resistance over ULTEM™ PEI
  • Highly Resistant to Steam Autoclaving
  • Excellent long-term hydrolytic stability
  • High Modulus of Elasticity and Heat Resistance
  • Inherently UL-94 VO
Application
  • Food Equipment and Dairy Connectors
  • Electronics Manufacturing and Fixtures
  • Medical Devices Handles and Fixtures
  • Food Service Trays
