FR4/G10 phenolic tubes are composite materials made of woven fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin, known for their high strength, excellent electrical properties, and dimensional stability. G10 vs. FR4:
While both are based on fiberglass and epoxy, FR4 is the flame-retardant version of G10. FR4 is designed to meet UL94V-0 flammability standards, while G10 does not have this requirement. In many cases, FR4 can be used as a substitute for G10, especially when flame retardancy is not a primary concern
