Depending on the size and design required, the materials used and the quality required, the plating color, etc.; the cost of a custom medal can vary considerably from the price of an existing metal medal.
For each custom design, a custom tool is required to produce the medal. So whether you need 1pc or 1000pcs  medals, you need an engraving mold to help create the product (that is, carve the shape of the product and logo on a piece of metal material). So while there is no minimum order quantity for custom medals, the cost per item will depend on the number ordered.
