Our cotton swab sponge is polyurethane sponge, also known as "PU" polyurethane sponge, the raw material is imported from Japan. Sponge materials are divided into two types: open-cell and closed-cell.

The pores in closed-cell sponges are isolated from each other and float on the water's surface. Closed-cell sponges are hard, their shape does not change significantly due to temperature changes, their dimensions are relatively stable, and they are more wear-resistant. if it is a clean part that requires strong abrasion resistance, you can choose a closed-cell sponge.

open cell sponge
The open-cell sponge changes shape due to temperature changes, shrinks and deforms after cooling, and is unstable in size. However, open-cell sponges are more breathable, softer, and highly absorbent. If you need strong water absorption, you can choose an open-pore sponge-tipped cotton swab to wipe smooth surfaces.

MFS-707 Cleanroom Swabs use a twice thermoplastic process to firmly fuse the cloth head to the polypropylene rod, avoiding contamination from adhesives. MFS707 is repeatedly cleaned in a clean room with deionized water and packed in a double purifying bag. The clean cloth head is heat-sealed with a tightly locked cut edge to prevent the generation of microscopic dust particles and has been tested to have very low levels of microscopic dust particles and ions during use. We have strict inspection standards and international quality assurance. Quality control down to every detail of production. (Regular monitoring of suspended particles, number of air changes, settling bacteria, microbial limits on personnel and equipment surfaces).

MFS-707 is thermally bonded by 100PPI open-cell polyurethane foam & light green PP handle, its large rectangular head possesses excellent solvent-holding capacity and durability. It is free from organic contaminants such as silicone, amide and phthalate esters, and it features very low non-volatile residue (NVR), ion content and particle generation. MFS-707 is specifically designed for general purpose cleaning of large surface, and it’s the perfect choice for cleaning of thermal printheads, Inkjet printheads, check scanners and opto-electronic sensors.
