GrandComm's GDM412 is a half-duplex radio modem with over-the-air data rate 0-1200bps. It operates in transparent transfer mode and is compatible with the most widely used RS- 485 serial interfaces.

Setting up a local data transfer network is quick and cost effective with these radio modems compared with traditional wired connections. It can be used in a number of applications, including remote control of irrigation systems, environmental monitoring, , remote control of water distribution, and remote reading (meters like gas, electricity, heat)
