   There have kinds of shape and lens that available for through-hole IR LED. There have a little infrared LED chip inside of the through-hole LED and two pins for the current connect. It will working and emitting the light through the lens when we pass the current to the through-hole LED. The lens shape will change the lighting result of original LED chip. When the lens is round top, the lighting spot (or the radiation area)will be a circle shape and when the lens shape is rectangle shape, the radiation area of the IR LED will be a thin rectangle shape.
