   Through-hole LED also have different size as same as SMD LED even they all got 2 pins (or 3 pins, 4 pins) for electric connection. As you can see in the picture as follow, we packaged this 810nm LED with light blue rectangle lens and this lens size is 2*3*2mm. With this rectangle shape, this infrared through-hole LED will got a flat top emitting area that make this IR LED got more wider viewing angle than the other 3mm or 5mm round top(or straw hat top) infrared LED. 810nm infrared LED are widely used in kinds of application such as medical industry, night vision system or some beauty industry ect.
