As we know, there will have some symbol will show in the LED datasheet : "λp" and "λD". Then what is that mean? Usually you see a beam of light, it is not a single wavelength of light, it is composed of a combination of many wavelengths. The energy of the wavelength of light is larger than that of other wavelengths, then this wavelength is the peak wavelength of the beam. The wavelength distribution of each wavelength of light in this beam is not necessarily symmetrical with the boundary of lambda λp. What we feel is the comprehensive result of the action of each wavelength. It corresponds to a single wavelength of light. The wavelength value is lambda λD. On the wavelength distribution curve, a vertical line between the abscissa and the curve divides the area under the curve into two equal sides.
