If you think it with this way, then you might got wrong in this case. As you can see the picture as follow, there is a yellow color on the top to cover the LED. For most of visible color LED, the lens will be like clear lens. White SMD LEDs are kind of phosphor converted white light. We put the a short wavelength LED (such as 450-470nm blue LED dare die). The phosphor will convert [art of blue light to yellow light, then the remaining blue light will be mixed with the yellow light. Then we will got the white light eventually.
