1450nm 1400nm LED in pakcage size of 3.0X1.5mm. Different with common 3014 SMD LED, this SMD LED are kind of two way use LED. Which can be weld on the bottom and side. Beucase its welding pad are on both of bottom and side. The emitting direction will be change according to your welding pad. The radiation will from the top if you use the bottom weldng pad and it will from the side if you use the side pad. In addition, this 3014 SMD LED smaller than most of SMD LED such as 5730 SMD LED, 2835 SMD LED, 3535 SMD LED ect. That will make it much more easy to fit with different application.
