This 1200nm LED can work at 1.0-1.5V forward voltage and 100mA operation current. 5mm LED Lamps will offer a dome lens on the top for this 1200nm LED so that this IR Through-hole LED will got longer radiation distane. As you can see from the picture as follow, this 503IRC120L17I100 were packaged by clear transparent lens. In this size of shape, we can also produce it with blue clear lens or black lens. It's all depends how your project works.
