Plasticizers and tougheners are commonly used to increase plasticity, improve toughness, and increase flexural strength and impact toughness of the resin; the fifth is filler, powder, fine Aggregates, coarse aggregates, and glass flakes are collectively referred to as fillers. Adding appropriate fillers can reduce the cost of the product and improve its performance. The amount of filler in the glue is generally 20-40% (weight) of the amount of resin. The amount of putty can be more when preparing putty, generally it can be 2 to 4 times the amount of resin. Commonly used powders are quartz powder and porcelain powder, in addition to graphite powder, diabase powder, talc powder, mica powder and so on. It is best to use a resin with a medium epoxy value (0.25-0.45) as an adhesive, such as 6101.634; when used as a castable, it is best to use a resin with a high epoxy value (>0.40), such as 618.6101; as a coating Generally use resin with low epoxy value (<0.25), such as 601.604.607.609 and so on. Resins with too high epoxy value have greater strength but are more brittle; those with medium epoxy value have good strength at high and low temperatures; those with low epoxy value have poorer strength at high temperatures. Because the strength is related to the degree of crosslinking, the epoxy value is high and the degree of crosslinking is high after curing, and the degree of crosslinking after curing is low, which causes the difference in strength.
