Alumina Ceramics:

In actual use of alumina ceramics, various ceramic colorants and pigments have different firing ranges. Too high and too low temperatures will adversely affect the color formation. Some pigments have a wide firing range, such as chrome tin red, aquamarine and the like. It can be used for both high-temperature under-glaze color firing and low-glaze color firing. Both of them have good color results. Some pigments have a fixed color range, which is taboo when used. For example, lead antimony pigments can only be used for the decoration of glaze and low-temperature glaze products. If the temperature exceeds the temperature, the color will be lost. In addition to the firing temperature, there are quite a few colorants and pigments that are very sensitive to the flame atmosphere in the kiln during firing, such as copper oxide pigments, which appear green when the flame is oxidized and red when the flame is reduced. The changes are huge.

After fully understanding the technical properties of various ceramic pigments, you should also understand other aspects of the pigments, such as the problem of ceramic pigments [common types of colorants], the use temperature range and the characteristics of the flame atmosphere, the color range and Taboo requirements should not be ignored.
