Overview

Optical fiber transceivers have the advantages of providing ultra-low latency data transmission, completely transparent to network protocols, mostly using dedicated ASIC chips to achieve data line-speed forwarding, devices using 1 + 1 power supply design, etc.,

The NT-MG1500 offers wire-speed packet transfer performance with 12Gbps non-blocking switch fabric, 8k MAC Address table and 802.3x Full-Duplex flow control.

supporting ultra-wide power supply voltage, Realize power protection and automatic switching.
NT-MG1500 can be programmed for basic Switch management functions such as per port speed duplex settings, Port Trunking, VLAN, Port Mirroring, Rapid Spanning Tree, etc.

At the same time, it supports an ultra-wide operating temperature range and a complete transmission distance of 0 to 120 kilometers.

Additionally, the firmware includes advanced features such as IGMP snooping, QoS (Quality of Service), broadcast storm and bandwidth control, to enhance bandwidth utilization.

Single-mode transceivers can cover a range from 20 kilometers to 120 kilometers. It should be pointed out that due to the different transmission distances, the transmission power, receiving sensitivity and use wavelength of the optical fiber transceiver itself will also be different.

NT-MG1500supports standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and can be monitored via any standard-based management software. These features provide a cost-effective way to manage the device from the Internet whenever you are working or at home.

For example, the transmission power of a 20 km optical fiber transceiver is generally between -15 and -7dB, and the receiving sensitivity is -30dB, using a wavelength of 1310nm; while the transmission power of a 120km optical fiber transceiver is usually between -5 and 0dB, the receiving sensitivity For -38dB, use a wavelength of 1550nm.

Applications

FTTx Switch

With 1gigabit fiber interfaces, to build a network solution of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) or FTTC (Fiber to the Curb) for ISPs and FTTB (Fiber to the Building) for enterprises, the various distances of fiber port are optional for customers. For security and applications, the 5 Gigabit ports can be configured with VLAN settings and connect to different units, offices, buildings, houses and departments. And NT-MG1500 is wide application in Europe FTTH market.
