Why there is no room 13 in hotels?

When we live in a hotel, we will notice that there will be no some numbers in the hotel door plate. The reasons maybe that there is no this floor, or the country culture is that they don't like these numbers. For example, here in China, we don't like number 4, so this number is seldomly seen in the hotel room number plates.

In a door plate, it normally includes the logo of the hotel, some service information( such as Check Out, Do Not Disturb, Maky My Laundry, etc ), and the hotel room number.
