Electric propagation heat mat

Electric propagation heat mat is made by PTC heat film.PTC heating film is a smart heating film that controls the power consumption automatically by controlling the resistance for itself without thermostat when the temperature of the film heater varies.

Electric propagation heat mat is a simple plug-in and go unit that makes propagation easy. The warming pad produces an even heat, raising the soil temperature around the roots by approx. 5 – 10°C above ambient temperature and ideal for improved germination results. This means that excellent results can be achieved even in cooler places.

It is also suitable for propagating cuttings or helping temperature sensitive plants through the winter with a bit of extra heat at their roots.  To save energy it is worth laying polystyrene sheet or similar under the warming pad. The unit can be used with a thermostat but very useful as a simple low cost solution.
