Both glass fiber and resin matrix are excellent insulators, making them widely used in insulating parts (such as cable brackets and electrical enclosures) in low-voltage and medium-voltage environments.The dielectric constant of glass fiber FRP is usually 3.5-5.5 (at 1MHz), which is lower than metal but higher than air, and is suitable for applications such as high-frequency circuit substrates.Glass fiber FRP has extremely low conductivity (volume resistivity > 10¹³ Ω·cm) and is an insulating material; carbon fiber FRP has a resistivity as low as 10²-10⁴ Ω·cm and is used in anti-static scenarios.

Application scenarios
Recommended applications: low voltage insulation parts, communication equipment structural parts, electromagnetic transparent covers.
Cautionary use scenarios: ultra-high voltage insulation, long-term high temperature and humid environment, need to cooperate with other materials or protective measures.
1.Lightweight and high-strength: The density is only 1/4-1/5 of that of steel, but the tensile strength can reach the level of steel, and the specific strength (strength/weight ratio) is better than that of metal and wood.
