The property of engineering plastics POM and its application :
1: mechanical property
It performs high property of hardness and rigidity for its crystallized construction .it can be used in the range of temperature between -40°C and 100°C for long time ,and it can resist impact many times . The strain only change a little when the environments’ temperature changing .POM is the most excellent material in plastics .
2: thermal forming property :
The temperature that occurs deformation is more higher than the other engineering plastics , homopolymerized temperature is about 136°C and copolymerized temperature is about 110°C.For the differences between homopolymerization and copolymerization ,the molecular structure in homopolymerized processing make the homopolymerized plastics can be used for more longer even in high temperature environments.
3: chemical corrosion resistance
It is the molecular construction that makes the POM can be dissolved into any dissolvent under normal temperature .we can’t find the dissolvent for POM even under the melt point of resin . Among the engineering plastics , POM performs excellent corrosion resistance ,stable dimensions and mechanical strength.
