  Product Description    BARCELONA CHAIR  Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe   Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona Chair and Ottoman (1929), originally created to furnish his German Pavilion at the International Exhibition in Barcelona, have come to epitomize modern design. Mies van der Rohe designed the chair to serve as seating for the king and queen of Spain, while the stool was intended to accommodate their attendants. Still produced to his original specifications, this Barcelona is of quality fit for royalty. The cushions – welting and buttons included – come from a single leather cowhide and are supported by cowhide belting straps, dyed to match the color of the chair. To create the deep, precise tufting, individual panels of leather are cut, hand welted and hand tufted. The chromed-steel frame is hand buffed to mirror-like perfection. The back cushion is slightly taller than the steel frame and angles with the curvature of the frame. Cushions are made of premium quality, highly resilient PU-Injected foam cushions are wrapped with Dacron, a synthetic silk. This results in a extremely comfortable chair with the highest level of durability. The Dacron wrap also provides the perfect amount of top visual plump to the cushion. The Upholstery two distinct, separate cushions that are fully upholstered with 40 individual panels that are cut, hand-welted, and hand-tufted with 24 leather buttons. The leather comes from a single, large cowhide.     The  Genuine Cowhide Leather   Cowhide is the natural, unbleached skin and hair of a cow. It retains the original coloring of the animal. Cowhides are a natural by-product of the food industry obtained from cattle. In the tannery, a traditional hair on hide tanning method is employed to ensure that the hide is soft. It ensures that the cowhide will last longer. It is then naturally dried and hand selected for best visual on the Tripod chair. Due to the natural state of the hide, the actual coloration on each item will vary from the cows.     The Frame   The original design used chrome finishing for the frame. In 1950, Mies changed the specifications to incorporate TIG (tungsten-electrode inert gas) welding. Today, the stainless steel version is the new “original.” The frame of Yadea's reproduction,is true to the Knoll's pieces, made of premium grade 304 bar stock stainless steel that is hand-buffed to a mirror finish. Then The rear seat cushion edge features an angular contour cut to compliment the angle of the frame. The 12mm thick heavy-gauge, solid core steel used on the frame provides maximum strength with the right amount of flex top and side heavy grade leather   The Fasteners   Seventeen straps made of belting leather and do not include buckles. Saddle straps are riveted to the frame. Braided thread used with lock stitch method which ensures piping stays in place and seams are long lasting.     Packaging & Shipping   There are polyester plastic bag inside and then bubble bag outside with corner protector foam for the full protection and then standard export carton for out packing.
