Product Description

Partially Hydrolysed Guar Gum Powder White Light Yellow Powder For Food

Quick Detail:

  1. Gum gum powder is the ground endosperm of the seed of guar plant, Cyamopsis tetragonolobus, Leguminosae family. The Guar plant sprouts bean-like pods that are 5-10 cms long and contain 6-8 seeds. Roughly, 14-16% of the seeds is the hull, 38-45% represent endosperm, and 40-46% germ.
  2. The Guar crop is sown after the first rains in June/July and is harvested after 3 to 4 months. Guar is a hardy, drought-resistant plant and requires moderate rainfall at regular intervals.
  3. This annual plant is an ancient one and is presently grown extensively in India and Pakistan for human and animal consumption. It is also grown in the semi-arid, southwestern United States.

Description:

  1. Guar gum powder is higher microbiological purity. It is a white to yellowish white powder, nearly odorless and white a bland taste.
  2. Guar gum is available in different viscosities and particle sizes. Ranging from very low viscosity 100 cps to high viscosity 7500 cps in a 1% solution. Besides ultra low viscosity, odorless grades are also popular.
  3. Guar gum forms highly viscous solutions when hydrated in cold water. It does not require heat to develop viscosity. It is soluble in hot and cold water but insoluble in most organic solvents.
  4. It has excellent thickening, emulsion, stabilizing and film forming properties and has strong hydrogen bonding properties.

Applications:

  1. Guar gum powder is used primarily by the food industry, for example, in bread, margarine, ice cream, jam, cereals, confectionery, meat, mayonnaise, fruit juice, salad, canned food, noodles, dressings, baked food and other food products.
  2. Other industries also use them in, oil and gas, animal food, cosmetics & body care, textile printing, pharmaceuticals, mining industry, paper making, water treatment, explosive, other industries like paints, tobacco etc..

Competitive Advantage:

1. Guar gum powder is a natural, green thickener. Do not add any chemical composition. No pollution, environmental protection.

2. The commercial production of guar gum powder is normally being undertaken by suing mechanical process of roasting, differential attrition, sieving & polishing.

3. The guar seeds are broken and the germ is separated from the endosperm. From one seed,

2 halves of endosperms are obtained and are called as undehusked guar splits. The husk is

separated from the endosperm halves through heating & polishing and the refined guar splits

are obtained.

4. The refined guar splits are then treated and converted into powder through grinding process.
