Step 2. Use USB cable to connect FVDI and the computer, but do not connect FVDI to the car. Wait until FVDI green light on and Softdog red light on, you succeed getting authorization. If FVDI red light on or Softdog green light on, repeat the above steps.

Keys can be programmed when the pin code of the vehicle is known. The Mitsubishi Commander has a database of default pin codes. The pin code can be changed with the Mitsubishi Commander. If the pin code is changed - next time when a key is programmed the new pin code should be entered.
