FirstMile's FTTx network is based on a point-to-point (P2P) architecture where each user is connected to a dedicated port on a central switch. Due to its advantages in performance, security, flexibility and degree of standardization, point-to-point Ethernet is today's preferred technology for FTTH networks in many application scenarios.
FirstMile's FTTH network provides a cost-efficient and mature solution to implement the real triple play in a future-proof fiber infrastructure. It is commonly understood that P2P Ethernet is future-proof optical access architecture and technology that inherently allows open access and unprecedented bandwidth growth.
FirstMile's EMS OnAccess View embedded in OnAccess M8000 series aggregation switches is part of the OnAccess® product family. It is a suite of scalable and low-cost software deployment tools for simplifying the network management and maintenance. It is developed to manage the FTTx network containing FirstMile's aggregation switches, access switches and all series of CPEs. It offers integrated functions like device management, software upgrade management, configuration file management, fault and performance management, and etc. It can manage thousands of network nodes.
