Primer (PT29)

PT29 is suitable for sticking between silicone rubber and such inorganics as PC, ABS and Nylon etc. It is high active and easily decomposable silane coupling agent. The Hydrolysis end-group of PT29can be condensed with the hydroxy key of plastic surface to be SiO key. Meanwhile, its organic end-group can be crosslinked with silicone rubber caused by peroxy radical to realize the sticking between the plastic and silicone rubber.

Please note the following points when using PT29.
1). The plastic surface should be cleaned by solvent.
2). PT29 should be diluted to 2-3 times by using of toluene in order to spread equably on the plastic surface.
3). The plastic should be placed for more than 4 hours after spreading with PT29 under room temperature or to be baked for half an hour in the oven under more than70-80ºC under ventilated condition in order to let PT29 hydrolyze fully.
4). The treated plastic should be heat cured together with silicone rubber, some products may be cured but the sticking process has not been finished, thus the products don't stick well, because sticking reaction need time and some products have different shapes and thickness.
5). Note: The plastic products suitable for PT29 are PC, ABS, Nylon and PMMA etc.
