A: 1, A large amount of ozone cannot dissolve in water so that they vents out. Ozone gas is irritative.
2, there is Henry formula for ozone dissolvability in water. More higher ozone concentration, more easier ozone dissolvable in water: In the opposite, it is hard for ozone produced by CD, UV to dissolve in water at 2.0ppm, also CD, UV type not only produce ozone, but also oxygen, nitrogen and NOX.
Q: Why wter might flow backward in CD, UV type ozonated water machine, and damage the tubing? However PEM type never?
A:
1, Ozone concentration in outflow is low produced by CD, UV type, so it would need a large amount of ozone gas drawn in mixer pump to mix with water. This large amount of ozone gas force on the tubing heavily and with long time accumulation, it may damage the tubing, as acting in the counter-pressure, water would flow into tubing and damage ozone generator.
2. The need for same amount of ozone will require much smaller amount of ozone gas produced by PEM unit, this amount of ozone gas force on the tubing is slight compare with the maximum load bearing of tubing. Also we add a controller(with valve, ventage) on the tubing on control the gas flow rete, even under effect of counter-pressure, when water flow into tubing, the valve will be shut up, and water will go out from ventage and keep PEM ozone system safe.
