What is touch frame?
A Touch Frame is an electronic visual frame that can detect the presence and location of a touch within the display area. The term generally refers to touching the display area of the device with a finger or hand.
What is touch frame used for?
With the growing acceptance of many kinds of products with an integral touch frame interface, the marginal cost of touch frame technology is routinely absorbed into the products that incorporate it and is effectively eliminated. As typically occurs with any technology, touch frame hardware and software has sufficiently matured and its reliability is proven. As such, touch frames are found today in airplanes, classrooms, conference rooms, automobiles, gaming consoles, machine control systems, appliances.
Tacteasy touch frame operation principle:
TACTEASY adopts infrared technology to manufacture touch panel which is use of X, Y direction over the infra-red matrix to detect and locate the user's touch area.
Product Description:
Infrared(IR) touch screen operate on the mechanism of infrared LEDs arranged in arrays on two adjacent bezel edges of the PCB with photo sensors placed on the two opposite edges functioning as transmitters and receivers. The LEDs emit infrared rays simultaneously to form a grid of rays across the display. When the user wishes to send a signal through touch, he/she can do so by interrupting the light beams with a physical object. Since every infrared LED is independent, the touch screen is able to achieve positioning by analyzing the decrease in light at the corresponding photo sensors. The signal is then processed by the control circuitry and sent to the PC for the coordinates of the touch event to be displayed on screen or to be utilized by other software for relevant signal operation.
